Foster healing and connection through storytelling that dismantles stigma.
Healing & Stigma Reduction recognizes storytelling as both a therapeutic and a social justice act. This initiative gives individuals with lived experience a platform to speak their truth, transforming pain into purpose and isolation into belonging. By reframing how society views mental illness, homelessness, and addiction, we replace shame with understanding. Story becomes a bridge—between clinician and client, neighbor and neighbor, system and humanity. Through empathy and dialogue, InhuMAINE advances healing not just for individuals, but for communities as a whole.
Our healing-centered approach seeks to:
- Create dignified spaces for lived experience to be shared safely.
- Reframe public perception around homelessness and behavioral health.
- Encourage empathy as a foundation for community connection.
- Cultivate collective responsibility for social healing.
