Unite communities through dialogue, shared experience, and collaborative change.
The Community Engagement initiative at InhuMAINE brings together people from every walk of life—those experiencing homelessness, service providers, policymakers, and the public—to build bridges of understanding. By hosting film screenings and open forums, we create safe spaces for honest conversation about complex social issues. These events foster trust, empathy, and mutual learning, turning awareness into collective responsibility. Each dialogue becomes an opportunity to humanize statistics and strengthen local collaboration. When communities engage in real dialogue, they move from awareness to sustainable action.
Through engagement events, we work to:
- Connect individuals, organizations, and policymakers around shared goals.
- Host screenings followed by facilitated community discussions.
- Partner with shelters, nonprofits, and advocacy groups.
- Turn storytelling into a springboard for grassroots collaboration.
